Hydroquinone is know as the master skin lightener and it most commonly used skin bleaching ingredients in skin whitening products. Hydroquinone is most effective on already exfoliated skin and it penetrates the skin better. Glycolic acid of the most common AHA Alpha Hydroxy Acid and it is used generally to treat hyperpigmentation issues and acne scars. Hydroquinone can not work effectively on it own and therefore it has to be used in conjunction with a skin exfoliator such as chemical peels. Glycolic Acid and Hydroquinone will give greater result than using hydroquinone alone.
