Of course, you don't know this and soon you start getting the "hairline stares". A quick mirror check confirms your fears. Yep, your wig has slid back. Glue and things are out the equation to fix this. You instantly panic, "How long has it been such as this?" "Did the cute guy from accounting find it?"
Humiliated, you fake illness so you're able to go home early and reattach your damn wig and drown yourself in embarrassment and disappointment.
As imagine, (and lots of of you can testify) this scenario is certainly one that can make wish that one could shrink to a tiny version of yourself and hide within the nearest rock.

Today's article is about describing approaches to keep your unit secure along with place in hopes that I can save someone a bit (or possibly a lot, based on the circumstances) of embarrassment.

If you happen to be having problems with your wig lifting and shifting, below are a few tips to help in reducing and eventually eliminate this case:

1. Make sure your forehead has no oil and perspiration just before applying your lace wig. Oil onto the skin will bring about your lace wig lifting and lowering the length of time that the wig remains attached. Use 91% alcohol to take out any oil through the perimeter of the hairline. (99% alcohol works too but can be harsh on your skin. 99% alcohol is more preferable suited to take out adhesive from a lace as opposed for your skin.)

2. Allow the alcohol to dry completely before applying a dermal barrier like Skin Shield or Scalp Protector. Allow the dermal barrier to dry completely.

3. Style the hair in a manner that allows it to get as flat as it can be underneath your wig - a wig cap may help you do this. A nude wig cap can also help seal in moisture on your natural hair and provides the illusion of “scalp” from any direction that a wig is parted.

4. Fit is significant. If any of the measurements are extremely small, it's a constant struggle to suit your needs to keep the wig unit bonded. It is essential to be sure that when flowing hair is measured for ones lace wig, your natural locks are styled very much the same that it will be in the event the wig is applied.

5. Make sure that the wig will not rest too much down with your neck with the nape. Hold your head back and check directly up with the ceiling. If your lace wig extends at a slight crease with the nape of the neck if you hold the head in this manner - your wig will constantly lift on the nape. Adjust by using Frayblock and cutting the extra lace and hair on the wig away. Cut on the back INSTEAD of in the front hairline. The front hairline on most wigs feature natural hairlines and will have bleached knots and babyhair. Cutting into this front portion could result in an unnatural looking front hairline.

6. When applying your lace wig for the nape, be sure you hold your chin down toward your chest. This will avoid the nape area from lifting up after you have completed your wig application.

7. Make sure that the sideburns within the wig tend not to extend past an acceptable limit down on the face. This is especially important in the event you wear sunglasses or glasses. If the sideburns around the wig are extremely long, they'll lift if your wig is pulled back in to a pony tail or worn which has a headband. Adjust by utilizing Frayblock and cutting the extra lace and hair with the wig away.

8. The last rule of bonding would be to pay attention to the cleaning agents that you apply on your lace unit. It is a popular fact that adhesives and oils usually do not mix. However, some women use oil based products like Goo Gone or C-22 to eliminate adhesive residues on the lace on his or her units. Keep in mind that a product in this way can restrict your wig bond during subsequent wig applications. If you use oil based removers or cleaning agents on your own unit, it's good idea to cleanse the wig area which has a grease dissolving agent for instance shampoo or detergent to cleanse away any oil remaining oil residues.

Ok, so that's all. By following these tips, you have to have little problem maintaining long lasting bonds with practically no lifting.
