Glycolic Acid made scar worse than before. Help!

Hello SA, I have a dark scar that is hurting my confidence. I have tried everything from hydroquione, vitamin C, raw honey, glycolic acid etc. and nothing seems to help. It's been a year and spot has showed no signs of lightening. I watched a YouTube video and thought glycolic acid was safe to use but it only made things worse.

I used glycolic acid on scar and skin peeled and then the next day I put glycolic acid on same scar and now scar is very black. Has enlarged to size of a quarter. Is very dark and large. Texture is very rough. What can I do? I'm about to give up.

Peels and acids will only make things worse since the skin texture has changed. Use moisturizers containing high niacinamide, lower percentage of hydroquinone, silicone gel and avoid any thing that would irritate the skin.

Do you have any recommendations for the silicone gel? I don't have insurance so I can't afford to see the dermatologist but I do believe it is a 1st degree burn. Thank you.
