Chemical burns occur a lot in skin care and even while treating the hair. Chemical burn occur as a result of misuse of a product . for example using a product too often or using multiple acidic products which my cause imbalance in the skin pH. Chemical peel may occur with the use of lactic acid peel, tca peel, glycolic acid peel and even kojic acid.
Chemical peel burn tends to tends to be more obvious in darker skin tones and also heals slower
To Heal the Skin
1. Stop application of all products on the spot
2. Apply non oily moisturizer such as Jergens
3.Apply some aloe vera gel
4.Don't use soap on the spot . Really Easy !!!!!
To get rid of the Scar
After healing the, a scar usually would be left in most cases. This part get really tricky
1. Make sure the scar is completely heal before trying to get rid of it
2. If the scar is healed but it is red in color you would only need a mild lightener with hydroquinone of 2 % and a good non oily moisturizer. With time the redness would be reduced
3. If the scar left behind is dark then a mild peel would be needed along with a lightener
