UVA Protection

1. 95% of aging of the skin changes originate from sun exposure and
most on the epidermis damage is due to UVA (aging rays)
compared to UVB (burning rays).

2. Long wavelength UVA, which comprises the great majority
of UV light is extremely close in wavelength to visible light. A
simple rule: if you are outside in daytime,
you should drive back UVA even when the sun isn't hot or
doesn't shine. UVA comes through windows and
windshield since you drive causing premature aging ; wrinkles
brown spots and uneven skin.

Common Misconceptions:

No cosmetics should ever be utilized in place of a superb broad
spectrum sunscreen. Many make-up companies state they have an
SPF(suncreen factor) of 15 or 20. This is great the theory is that, but
SPF are only able to refer to UVB blockers. In addition, moisturizers and
foundations are absorbed from the skin, to make sure they are naturally less
effective at on the outside of the skin as sunscreens are.

Sun damage won't only occur from lying within the beach. It happens
all any time; during winter and summer, through sunshine and rain.
Even fluorescent lamps emit UVA and UVB rays, breaking
down collagen and skin's elasticity.

Since most sun spots are triggered with the sun, the very least SPF 30 is
highly recommended with broad spectrum UVA and UVB
protection every single day especially during and after lightening and
brightening treatments together with limiting exposure to the sun.

Using an SPF daily is usually a
must, rain or shine!
